About Us

Ben & Josephine, students of Ryan Francois, have been teaching professionally since 2008 in Athens, Greece.

Since 2013 they have been invited to teach abroad in established schools and camps (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Machester, London, Antalya, Ancara, Nicosia).

In 2008, when Ben & Josephine moved to Athens, Greece, from the UK, they were surprised to find that there was no Lindy Hop scene at all. Since then, they have set about changing all that. By establishing the Athens Swing Cats (the very first Lindy Hop team to form in Athens) as well as organizing & running the first Swing dance parties in Athens, they have made it their goal to share Lindy Hop & their knowledge of the Swing era, music & dance with the Greeks, & to establish a thriving Swing scene in Athens.

The Athens Swing Cats have been dancing Lindy Hop for many years but they have never stopped learning and improving their dancing and teaching skills. Since 2013 Ben & Josephine have had the privilege to been trained by one of the greatest dancers, choreographers of both Broadway and West End & pioneers in the field of Lindy Hop, Ryan Francois. It is an ongoing procedure that has enable them to get a much deeper understanding & appreciation of Lindy Hop & they are both very happy that they are now passing on this precious knowledge to their own students in Greece.
